We offer chaperones for our appointments – you can read more about requesting a chaperone, below. Once our clinician has taken your medical history and completed your examination, they will explain your diagnosis and next steps – including any treatment.
Treatment may be medication or other alternative routes such as physical therapy. If it is decided that you need to be referred to another health or social care provider, the GP practice will do this.
Our Practice provides a safe environment where patients and staff can be confident that best practice is being followed. All patients can request to have a chaperone present for any appointment or examination. This chaperone can be a trained member of staff, a family member or friend.
There may also be times where your clinician might require a chaperone to be present for your appointment. When possible, please let us know that you would like a chaperone before your appointment. This helps to avoid your appointment being delayed or rescheduled.
When this is not possible we will do our best to provide a chaperone at the time of request.
